Bernd Schroeder
Bernd Schroeder was born in 1944 in Aussig (then Czechoslovakia) while his parents were fleeing westward. He grew up in Fürholzen, a village in Upper Bavaria. In 1966 he began his studies of history of the theater, German language and literature, and folklore in Munich. Since 1968 he has been working as a freelance writer and has written and directed numerous radio and television plays. He lives in Cologne.
