Thomas von Steinaecker was born in Traunstein, Germany in 1977. He received his Ph.D. in 2007 with a thesis on “Literary Photo Texts. On the function of photographs in the texts of Rolf Dieter Brinkmann, Alexander Kluge, and W.G. Sebald.” In addition to his work as writer and journalist, von Steinaeacker has also made a name for himself as an author of audio books. Thomas von Steinaeacker lives in Augsburg.
